Golf Academy Instructors
A native of Willmar, Minnesota, Aaron Jacobson came to Rush Creek from Desert Mountain Gold Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. A Class A member of the Professional Golfers Association of America since January 2000, Aaron has been teaching private instruction, clinics, junior programs and corporate outings at Rush Creek since 2003.
In 2008 he helped six high school students finish in the top 20 at the Minnesota High School Tournament. He also had several local college players win multiple events along with local professionals who won in the Minnesota PGA section.
As an accomplished player himself, Aaron won the 1990 Minnesota State AA High School Golf Championship and was a five time winner on the Bold Stroke Tour in Western Texas and New Mexico. From 2000-2001 he competed on the Hooters and Dakotas Tour and in various state open championships across the country. In 2002 he won the Lansdow shootout in Durango, CO. Recently, Aaron qualified for the National PGA Professional Championship which will be played in June 2010.
Aaron's start in teaching was with the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi from 1997-2000.
As a teaching professional, Aaron had the opportunity to teach under the wing of Hall of Fame instructor, Jim Flick from 2001-2003. His teaching experience with Mr. Flick included golf schools, junior programs, and observing many lessons with professionals.
Aaron is also a certified club fitter for both Ping and Titleist companies.

Luke is a Class A PGA member who grew up in Faribault, MN and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in finance. While at Gustavus, Luke was a 3-time All-American and 2004 national runner up. After graduation, Luke turned professional and played in various events for the next 2 years on the Hooters, Dakota, and Nationwide Tours, notching several top 10 finishes.
Luke is beginning his first year at the Rush Creek Golf Academy after spending two years at Cleary Lake golf course, where he developed and expanded youth golf programs and provided private instruction. In addition to his work here at Rush Creek, Luke continues to serve as the Head Women’s Golf coach at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. In 2009, Luke graduated with a Masters degree in Kinesiology from the U of MN, where he studied motor learning and sport psychology.
As an instructor, Luke utilizes his experience as a Certified Golf Fitness Professional (Titleist Performance Institute) to help his students improve their golf swing through golf specific fitness and flexibility.
An avid international traveler, Luke coached the Bhutanese national golf team this past winter during a 4 month stint in the Himalayas. While there, he also won the 2009 Bhutan Open.

Mike Seiffert, Teaching Instructor
Mike Seiffert has been a class A PGA member since 2006. In 2008, he joined an elite group of PGA golf professionals by gaining special recognition as a Certified Instructor through the PGA of America.
Mike has successfully taught the game of golf to players of all ages and abilities. His commitment and passion for junior golf is paramount, as he's been a lead instructor at both the U.S. Air Force Academy and MN FCA junior golf camps. Mike also teaches physical education & health at Providence Academy, where he serves as the varsity boys' golf coach.
A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Mike earned NCC All-Conference and All-Academic honors while playing for the Huskies. The highlight of his competitive career is playing with Tiger Woods in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. Mike continues to enjoy competing in MN Section PGA events.
