Rush Creek is sad to announce the passing of our founder ~ Duncan MacMillan. Duncan passed away yesterday at his winter home in Florida.
We have been lucky and blessed to know such a great individual. As many of you know, Duncan had developed golf courses with his family throughout the country. He wanted to develop a golf course of his own in Minnesota, a golf course without surrounding development and the result was Rush Creek. He had a dream and a vision and we were all lucky to be a part of it. He really gave us all something very special. We can all appreciate the natural beauty Rush Creek has to offer and the facility and surroundings he built are just as beautiful.
Last week, we received an email from him as he wanted to send out a thank you letter to all of our customers once the golf season was complete. Unfortunately, we were not able to make that happen but we do want to carry on his wish.
So we want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Every time Duncan walked in the door at Rush Creek, he was always greeted by one of our customers. There was usually a compliment for him or maybe just a simple hello, but no matter what it was you said, you always made him feel proud. We thank you for all your support, understanding and continued patronage throughout the years. This year marked our 10th Anniversary and we could not have gotten there without your involvement.
On behalf of our entire staff, we will miss him as he was a big supporter of all of us. He was a great person, boss, golf fan, and most importantly, a great friend to all.
Rush Creek will continue to operate as usual. We look forward to continuing his excellence and honor him each day. It has been such a pleasure to work for him and we will continue his legacy for many years to come.
